UK Property Prices Bounce Back In September According To Rightmove
Published: 19th September 2016
New figures being reported this morning by the UK's leading property portal Rightmove are showing an autumnal bounce back, with UK property property asking prices increasing by an average of more than £2,200.00 in comparison with August figures. The figures reported take into consideration property prices throughout England and Wales for the period, which took the average price of a property up to £306,499.
The increase in September goes someway to offsetting the drop of voer £6,000 across July and August, and goes some way to suggesting the uncertainty surrounding the post-Brexit may well be beginning to subside. Rightmove went on to say that viewed across the past twelve months, the asking prices across all UK property has increased by 4%.
For first time buyers of property in the UK, the average asking price has now increased to £194,477, with the average price of properties with two bedrooms or lower having increased by 10.5% or £18,450 over the past year.
Investors in property in London saw the largest increase, with asking prices rising by 1.9% in September, taking the price of the average property in London to over £630,000.
